The Believe in ME CHALLENGE!
Let’s make our pilot project a reality at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital supporting siblings of hospitalized kids.
OUR MISSION
To provide support for families in crisis and maintain a place of normalcy for the siblings in the secure hospital setting where brothers and sisters get a respite from waiting rooms and intensive care units.
This program is unique, nonexistent in California.
Remember, having a hospitalized child can happen to any family, any time, anywhere!
OUR PROGRAM
Believe in ME helps prevent future distress to the siblings who are also traumatized when their brother or sister is hospitalized.
The program educates the siblings about hospital procedures, equipment and hospital life.
Believe in ME is an on-site program at hospitals.
The program is a dedicated space for healthy children aged 6 months to 13 years.
The program is staffed 8AM to 5PM, Monday through Friday.
The children are cared for and supported at no cost to parents.
